Introducing the Newest Addition to the OHAYŌ Family: Kid’s Jinbei!
Get your little ones ready in style with our traditional Jinbei clothing, designed 100% by OHAYŌ. Crafted with care and inspired by the playful spirit of childhood, our colorful and comfortable Jinbeis will be the must-have attire for this summer. We are proud to have created this set from the initial sketches to testing out various materials and patterns, and finally, fitting the clothes on real children. We have poured our hearts into these beautiful Jinbeis, and we hope you will love them just as much as we do.
Sizing
Our Jinbeis are available in two sizes: 3-4 years old and 5-6 years old. Please find the sizing chart below to find the right size.
Sold as a set, each Jinbei includes both top and shorts. Our sets are unisex and suitable for any child, regardless of gender.
Designed for the Day of the Child
For this year’s Day of The Child, we wanted to do something special and create a new and original OHAYO product. From this the colourful OHAYO Jinbeis emerged - giving the traditional Japanese garment a modern twist by colorblocking striped patterns and designing them specifically for kids.
The Wonderful Tale of Jinbei
Jinbei is a very traditional Japanese garment, originally designed as workwear for laborers such as farmers and fishermen. Today, it has evolved into a versatile piece worn by kids and adults alike, especially as loungewear for the summer.
Practical and Comfortable
Jinbeis are renowned for their comfortable and practical fit. The spacious shorts feature an elasticated waist, perfect for active playtime and growing kids. The tops are worn like shirts and secured with two robust ribbons, ensuring a snug yet flexible fit.
Both the top and shorts feature pockets, perfect for curious explorers to collect shells, stones or other treasures during this summer’s adventures.
The Jinbeis come in two colorways, the blue and purple and the serene white detailed with stripes of green, yellow, blue and pink.
